Ali ibn Abi Talib

Ali Ibne Abu Talib , Imam Aliwas born on 13th rajab. He was the only person born in the holy Kaaba sanctuary in Mecca, which is the holiest place in Islam religion and is considered as the house of god. His father was Abu Talib and his mother was Fatima Binte Asad. He was the cousin of Prophet Muhammad and was raised in the household of Mohammad. Prophet Muhammad named Imam Alias Ali, which means “the exalted one”. He later became son in law to the prophet.

When Muhammad reported receiving a divine revelation, Imam Aliwas the first male to accept his message and convert to Islam. Imam Ali has dedicated his entire life to the cause of Islam. Muhammad gave his daughter Fatimah to Imam Aliin marriage.

Imam Ali had four children born to Fatimah. His two sons Imam Hasan and Imam Hussein were cited by Prophet Muhammad to be his own sons. They were honored numerous times by the messenger of Allah and were titled as “the leaders of the youth of Jannah”.

According to shia Muslims Imam Aliis regarded as the first Imam and the rightful successors to Prophet Muhammad. There was disagreement from the Sunnis for this topic as they considered Imam Alias the fourth and final caliphs, this was the major reason for the split in the two communities.

Imam Aliwas attacked by the khawarij Abd Al Rahman Ibne Muljam on 19th Ramadan while he was worshiping one morning in the great mosque of Kufa and died few days after it.

In Muslim religion, Imam Aliis respected for his courage, knowledge, belief, honesty, unbending devotion to Islam, deep loyalty to Prophet Muhammad, equal treatment to all people and generosity in forgiving his defeated enemies and thus being the righteous person of Islam.

Imam Ali is respected not only as a warrior and leader, but as a writer and religious authority.
